We went to Capitola for the weekend for the Armanino-Calegari family reunion. Una took advantage of the great weather to take her first stroll on the beach.

Rowan and I went to the Exploratorium in San Francisco 2 weeks ago – his 1st time there. I remember going there when I was in 3rd grade in Davis, so it was fun to share the experience with him. He loved the different colored shadows.

Valerie, Rowan, Una, and I also went to see the new de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park.

The next two photos below are of the main tower. Thw whole structure is covered in perforated copper sheeting. It should be interesting to watch it age…
This is the entrance courtyard (Rowan with his trademark orange hat in the background).
The rock is part of a permanent installation by Andy Goldsworthy.
